The hospital hypnotherapy service has been set up to provide hypnotherapy for patients undergoing chemotherapy within the Haematology department of the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff.
It is available to patients within the day unit and wards.
It has been established to help those patients affected by anticipatory nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy but the team are also able to help with other anxiety related issues.
The team of clinical hypnotherapists all trained at the prestigious Clifton Practice, all hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma and enhanced DBS checks.
It is hoped that over the coming months this service will be available 9-5, 5 days a week within the department.
If you are a patient or relative of a patient receiving chemotherapy at UHW and you are interested in accessing this service please speak to your specialist nurse who can refer you to us.
