If you have ever had the pleasure of an initial consultation with me, you will know that one of the things I get really enthusiastic about is exercise.
We all know that exercise can help us physically, but what about our mental wellbeing?
It is claimed by scientists that a brisk 20 minute walk 3 times a week is as effective as being on antidepressants-without the potential side effects.
So in a bid to practice what I preach I have signed up for the 6 week, Activity 4 Charity challenge.
My challenge is to do 6,000-10,000 steps every day for 6 weeks, that's an additional 30-60 minutes brisk walking, cycling or running that I need to do every day. By the end I will have walked or run the equivalent of 200 miles!
As an incentive to myself I will be raising funds for the mental health charity MIND.
It would be great if readers, clients, family and friends could sponsor me, or, better still, get involved and sign up for the challenge yourself.
